Baymount is pursuing plans to build a racetrack in Brandon, Manitoba, the second-largest city in the province. The planned name for the track, which will be located on the Trans-Canada Highway, is Wheat City Horse Park. It will feature a 5/8-mile standardbred racetrack, clubhouse, and proposed gaming area.

Brandon is located approximately 200 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg and 100 kilometres north of the U.S. border. The city has a population of about 45,000 people and a catchment area of about 180,000 from surrounding rural communities.
